The preceding name, Mūlādhāraika-nilayā, described Śrī Lalitāmbikā as having her special abode in the Mūlādhāra. Brahmagranthi-vibhedinī now moves from that abiding presence to a dynamic yogic process. As Kuṇḍalinī-śakti, the Goddess ascends and pierces the first major granthi encountered on the subtle path. The subject here is therefore not an external battle or mythic episode, but the active power of the Goddess within the subtle yogic ascent.

Granthi ordinarily means a knot, bond, or tightly joined obstruction. Here Brahmagranthi is a technical term of yogic teaching. Vibhedinī is a feminine agent noun meaning “she who pierces, splits, or opens through.” The direct meaning is therefore: Śrī Lalitāmbikā who pierces the Brahmagranthi.

In the form used for archana, Brahmagranthivibhedinyai namaḥ means: salutations to the Goddess who pierces the Brahmagranthi.

The Bhāskararāya commentary tradition understands this name within the ascent of Kuṇḍalinī through the cakras. Brahmagranthi is not a gross physical knot but a subtle yogic obstruction whose piercing permits the movement of Śakti to proceed further. The available Bhāskararāya-based explanation also associates this granthi with the region of Svādhiṣṭhāna. Thus vibhedinī points to the Goddess as the power by which the obstructed subtle pathway is opened and the ascent of Kuṇḍalinī becomes possible.

In this interpretation the agency belongs to the Goddess herself. The name does not describe a practitioner mechanically forcing an inert energy upward by personal will. The Sahasranāma presents Śakti as the conscious Goddess: she is the one who abides in Mūlādhāra and also the one who pierces the knot encountered on the path. Abiding and ascent are two aspects of the same Parāśakti.

The Sahasranāma itself places this teaching in a sequence. Name 99 refers to Mūlādhāra, name 100 to the piercing of Brahmagranthi, followed by the Goddess rising in Maṇipūra and later piercing Viṣṇugranthi. The present name is therefore best understood as a decisive stage within this progression. Her presence in Mūlādhāra is not inactivity; in the very next name the same Śakti appears as the power that pierces the knot of the path.

The Sanskrit image of a granthi, a knot, is especially meaningful. A knot does not necessarily require something foreign to be added; a thread already present becomes bound through its own tightened conjunction. When that knot is opened or pierced, passage becomes possible again. Likewise, the yogic idea of a granthi indicates a firm obstruction in the subtle path that must be crossed before further ascent is complete. The Sahasranāma identifies the power of that crossing with Śrī Lalitāmbikā herself.

Brahmagranthi should not be understood as a visible anatomical organ, nerve, or literal physical knot in the body. The language of cakra, nāḍī, and granthi belongs to the yogic doctrine of the subtle body. It should therefore not be treated as a map of modern physical anatomy. Brahmagranthi belongs to the subtle pathway described by that traditional framework.

Nor should this name be taken as an instruction to force Kuṇḍalinī awakening, breath control, or other esoteric operations without traditional guidance. In Śrīvidyā and related yogic traditions, many such matters are connected with initiation, guidance from a guru, and the preparedness of the practitioner. Devotional contemplation of the Sahasranāma does not require disclosure or independent performance of restricted procedures.

From the standpoint of contemplation, this name offers an important indication: the Goddess is not only the goal of sādhana but also the indwelling power that makes the path possible. The same Śakti who is said to dwell in Mūlādhāra proceeds beyond the obstruction. Thus the practitioner may remember the Goddess not merely as a distant object of worship, but as the indwelling presence governing movement and the opening of the path.

A further restrained philosophical reflection is also possible. Bondage and its transcendence do not occur in a realm separate from the Goddess. Within the broader vision of Śrīvidyā, all power is an expression of Parāmbā. The name Brahmagranthi-vibhedinī may therefore remind the practitioner of her sovereign power, present even within limitation and capable, through grace, of opening the way forward. This should be understood as a contemplative implication of the name, not as a verbatim statement attributed to Bhāskararāya.

For the practitioner, remembrance of this name is an invitation to humility. Some bonds on the spiritual path are not easily opened by intellectual knowledge or personal insistence alone. While reciting Brahmagranthivibhedinyai namaḥ, one may pray that Parāmbā illumine the inertia, attachments, and obstructions on the path and grant the fitness to proceed with truthfulness, restraint, and proper guidance.

Brahmagranthi-vibhedinī reveals Śrī Lalitāmbikā as the power that pierces the first major knot of the subtle yogic path. The Goddess who was described in the preceding name as dwelling in Mūlādhāra now opens the path as the ascending Kuṇḍalinī-śakti. The direct meaning is yogic; contemplatively, the name reminds the practitioner that transcendence of the path’s obstructions ultimately depends upon the Goddess’s grace and indwelling power.

The preceding names described subtle aspects of Śrī Lalitāmbikā in relation to Kula, Akula and Samaya. With Mūlādhāraika-nilayā, the Sahasranāma now associates the Goddess with the Mūlādhāra known in yogic teaching. The emphasis here is not narrative but the Goddess as indwelling power. This name also begins a new sequence concerning the cakras and granthis.

Mūlādhāraika-nilayā = Mūlādhāra + eka + nilayā.

Mūlādhāra is the yogic designation for the foundational locus described within the subtle body. Nilayā means one who dwells or has her abode there, while eka gives a sense of emphasis or predominance. Thus the direct meaning is: Śrī Lalitāmbikā whose special or principal abode is in the Mūlādhāra. This should not be read as denying the omnipresence of the Goddess; the name emphasizes a particular yogic locus.

The Saubhāgyabhāskara connects this name with the Goddess principally abiding in the Mūlādhāra. Bhāskararāya refers to the traditional four-petalled lotus and relates its central region to Kulakuṇḍa and Kuṇḍalinī. In his explanation, Mūlādhāra is the root of Suṣumṇā and the support of Kuṇḍalinī. The Goddess’s “abode” therefore signifies her establishment as the foundational power from which the subsequent yogic sequence becomes intelligible.

An important qualification follows from this interpretation. Śrī Lalitāmbikā should not be reduced to a single bodily point. The same supreme Śakti who is all-pervading is understood, from the yogic perspective, as specially manifest in the Mūlādhāra in the form of Kuṇḍalinī. The emphatic sense of eka helps preserve this distinction.

In the subtle-body traditions of Yoga and Tantra, Mūlādhāra is not treated as an ordinary gross anatomical organ but as a subtle locus contemplated and experienced in practice. The four-petalled lotus, the root of Suṣumṇā and the presence of Kuṇḍalinī belong to this subtle map. The Sahasranāma therefore does not make an anatomical claim; it places the Goddess as Śakti at the foundation of the practitioner’s subtle spiritual configuration.

Kuṇḍalinī should likewise not be reduced to the modern idea of a merely physical energy. In the classical idiom, she is a conscious manifestation of the Goddess’s power. This helps explain why the Sahasranāma proceeds through names concerning Mūlādhāra, the granthis, Maṇipūra, Ājñācakra and Sahasrāra. The present name establishes the foundation of that sequence, while later names describe distinct aspects of its progression.

From the contemplative perspective, Mūlādhāraika-nilayā offers a subtle indication: even the foundation of spiritual practice is not devoid of the Goddess. Parāmbā is not merely a distant supreme reality to be reached at the end; her power is understood as already present at the very ground from which the practitioner’s inner journey begins. Seeing both beginning and culmination in relation to the same Goddess accords with the integrated vision of Śrīvidyā.

The deeper dimensions of this name may belong to initiatory and yogic traditions whose operative methods are not matters for public exposition. For the general devotee of the Sahasranāma, it is sufficient to understand that the Goddess herself is the foundational Śakti and that the classical conception of Kuṇḍalinī is understood as inseparable from her.

Remembrance of this name encourages the practitioner to regard the foundation of spiritual life as sacred. Without steadiness, discipline, reverence and respect for the guru tradition, lofty ideas about subtle practice lose their substance. The devotee may pray that Parāmbā purify and strengthen the very root of life in her remembrance, so that practice matures inwardly rather than becoming a display.

Mūlādhāraika-nilayā reveals Śrī Lalitāmbikā as the supreme Śakti principally established in the Mūlādhāra. Bhāskararāya’s interpretation clarifies this foundation in relation to Suṣumṇā and Kuṇḍalinī. Contemplatively, the name reminds us that the beginning of spiritual ascent and its ultimate fulfilment are not disconnected: the same Parāmbā is already present at the very foundation of the path.

The preceding name, Samayāntasthā, revealed Śrī Lalitāmbikā's relation to the inner principle called Samaya. Samayācāra-tatparā now expresses that relation at the level of spiritual discipline. The Goddess is devoted to the Samaya mode of worship, which is inward, disciplined, and oriented toward the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti. The name therefore refers specifically to a Śrīvidyā tradition of worship rather than merely to good conduct in a general sense.

Samayācāra-tatparā = Samaya + ācāra + tatparā.

Here ācāra means conduct or spiritual discipline according to an established mode of worship. Samayācāra therefore directly means the discipline belonging to the Samaya tradition. Tatparā is a feminine adjective meaning one who is deeply engaged in, devoted to, or intent upon something. The direct meaning is thus: “She who is devoted to Samayācāra,” or “She who is especially intent upon the discipline of the Samaya path.”

In this name, samaya should not be understood merely in its ordinary sense of “time.” It is a technical term within the Śrīvidyā tradition. The immediately preceding name, Samayāntasthā, prepares this same technical sense, so the meaning becomes clearer when the two names are read together.

In the Saubhāgyabhāskara, Bhāskararāya Makhin connects Samayācāra with a specific discipline described in the Rudrayāmala. His explanation makes clear that the word does not denote a vague spiritual sentiment but a traditionally regulated mode of worship. The commentary also associates it with inward worship and with contemplation of the Goddess within the practitioner.

Bhāskararāya's fuller explanation touches upon aspects of this inner discipline whose proper transmission depends upon the Guru tradition and spiritual eligibility. Those operative details are unnecessary for understanding the present name. It is sufficient here to recognise that Samayācāra places the Goddess within the practitioner's inner field of worship and directs contemplation toward Her inseparability from Śiva. The commentary itself indicates the necessity of a Guru for the proper knowledge of this method.

While explaining the preceding name Samayāntasthā, Bhāskararāya also interprets samaya through the idea of equality or correspondence between Śiva and the Goddess. He speaks there of their correspondence in place, function, action, name, and form. Against this background, Samayācāra-tatparā acquires greater depth: Samayācāra embodies in worship the vision in which Śiva and Śakti are understood as an inseparable reality rather than as two independent ultimate principles.

The adjective tatparā is therefore especially significant. Śrī Lalitāmbikā is not described merely as the deity worshipped by this discipline; the name presents Her as intimately committed to that very mode of worship. The path and its Divine Object are thus not unrelated. The inner discipline by which the practitioner approaches Her derives both its meaning and its goal from the Goddess Herself.

In this understanding of Samayācāra, inward worship emerges as a principal emphasis. This does not require a rejection of external worship. More precisely, the name stresses an inner mode of adoration in which the practitioner's embodied existence is regarded as a sacred field for the remembrance of the Goddess. The subsequent names connected with Mūlādhāra, Maṇipūra, Ājñācakra, and Sahasrāra will make this inward orientation progressively clearer.

For this reason, reducing the name to a mere sectarian classification would also narrow its meaning. The word ācāra turns doctrine into lived discipline. If the non-separation of Śiva and Śakti is the underlying vision, Samayācāra is a way of embodying that vision through reverence, fidelity to the Guru tradition, inwardness, and disciplined practice. The name thus forms a bridge between doctrine and worship.

From a contemplative perspective, the name suggests that Śrīvidyā does not treat the Supreme merely as a distant reality to be sought outside oneself. The Goddess becomes the object of inward worship, and within that inward awareness contemplation of the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti matures. “Within” is best understood here as an orientation of worship rather than as a merely geographical location inside the body.

This philosophical indication does not replace the direct meaning of the name. Its primary sense remains that the Goddess is devoted to Samayācāra. Yet the inward character of that discipline helps us understand why worship, meditation, and contemplative insight are not entirely separate domains in Śrīvidyā. Disciplined worship becomes oriented toward the non-dual vision expressed through the correspondence and inseparability of Śiva and Śakti.

Remembering Samayācāratatparāyai Namaḥ can inspire the practitioner to cultivate inwardness and reverent discipline in worship. More important than curiosity about esoteric details are humility, spiritual eligibility, and respect for the Guru tradition. One may pray that outward worship be accompanied by a mind gathered toward the Goddess, that devotion not become display, and that practice gradually deepen into a quiet, attentive, and sacred inner presence.

Samayācāra-tatparā is Śrī Lalitāmbikā as deeply devoted to the inward and disciplined way of the Samaya tradition. Bhāskararāya's interpretation associates this path with traditional, Guru-guided inward worship whose philosophical ground is the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti. The name reminds the practitioner that the heart of Śrīvidyā lies not in collecting esoteric information, but in reverent inwardness and in making the Goddess the centre of one's life of worship.

The preceding name, Akulā, revealed Śrī Lalitāmbikā as the supreme principle beyond the limitations of kula. Immediately after it comes Samayāntasthā. The emphasis now is not on an external location but on the Goddess abiding within “samaya.” Bhāskararāya treats samaya as a term with interconnected senses, including inward worship, an established sacred convention, and the profound equality of Śiva and Śakti.

Samayāntasthā = samaya + antasthā. Here antasthā means one who is situated within, abides inwardly, or is established in the interior. Thus the straightforward grammatical sense may be expressed as samayasya antaḥ tiṣṭhati: She who abides within samaya.

The ordinary dictionary meanings of samaya, such as occasion or time, are not sufficient in this Śrīvidyā context. Here it functions as a technical term. The direct sense can therefore be stated cautiously as: She who abides within the established discipline, sacred convention, or innermost purport called samaya. Bhāskararāya's commentary makes the intended range of this term more precise.

In the Saubhāgyabhāskara, Bhāskararāya first relates samaya to an inward mode of worship in which the object of worship is contemplated within the subtle inner space of the heart. He also explains samaya as an established sacred convention accepted by yogins. In this sense the Goddess abides “within” samaya because She is the true subject intended by that discipline and the tradition that teaches it. The practice ultimately points to the Goddess Herself.

Bhāskararāya then gives a deeper derivation, connecting samaya with equality or correspondence and explaining the mutual sameness of Śiva and Śakti. He describes five forms of this correspondence: sameness of locus, function, state, name, and form. The intent is not to present Śiva and Śakti as two wholly independent realities later joined together, but to express their inseparable relationship from several complementary standpoints.

In the same explanation, the word anta is also understood not merely as a physical end but in the sense of essential nature. Thus the subtler Bhāskararāya-based sense of Samayāntasthā is that Śrī Lalitāmbikā abides in the very essence of the equality of Śiva and Śakti. She is not merely a deity standing outside that doctrine; She is its innermost reality.

Samaya here should not be reduced to an ordinary social convention or merely to a fixed point in time. In Bhāskararāya's explanation it denotes an acknowledged mode of worship whose orientation is inward. The installation of the object of worship within the inner awareness becomes central. Yet it should not be reduced to the modern idea of a generic “mental exercise,” because Bhāskararāya connects it with a specific scriptural and yogic tradition.

This makes the element antasthā especially significant. The name does not merely associate the Goddess with practitioners of Samaya; it declares that She abides within Samaya itself. Worship, its scriptural discipline, and the truth intended by it all have the Goddess as their centre. Practice and goal may remain distinct at the practical level, yet the life of the discipline lies in the divine reality toward which it is directed.

The fivefold correspondence described by Bhāskararāya carries the name beyond the classification of a worship method into the realm of doctrine. Adhiṣṭhāna-sāmya indicates correspondence of locus, anuṣṭhāna-sāmya correspondence of divine function, avasthā-sāmya correspondence of state or activity, while nāma-sāmya and rūpa-sāmya express their mutually inseparable relation through name and form. These are best understood here as elements of Bhāskararāya's doctrinal explanation, not as independent ritual instructions.

From the Śrīvidyā standpoint, an ultimately inactive Śiva separated from Śakti, or an independent Śakti separated from Śiva, does not express the highest truth. Samayāntasthā points toward the harmony in which consciousness and its intrinsic power cease to be regarded as independent realities. Śrī Lalitāmbikā is the complete manifestation of this indivisible correspondence. The name therefore means more than simply “the Goddess who dwells in the Samaya path.”

From the standpoint of contemplation, the name offers a restrained indication that spiritual practice is not complete when the deity is regarded only as external. When the practitioner turns toward the sacred inner space, the object of worship there too is Śrī Lalitāmbikā. This does not mean identifying the ordinary ego with the Goddess; it means remembering that worship ultimately turns inward toward the divine ground of consciousness that illumines both inner and outer experience.

Likewise, the equality of Śiva and Śakti does not ask the practitioner merely to imagine an abstract principle beyond duality; it invites contemplation of the inseparability of consciousness and power in the very nature of the Goddess. No restricted ritual procedure is required to state this public doctrinal meaning. Its essential import is that Parāmbā does not merely dwell inside supreme harmony; She abides as the very essence of that harmony.

Remembering Samayāntasthāyai Namaḥ may inspire the practitioner to cultivate inwardness, discipline, and collected attention in worship. Whether the practice is outward worship or silent remembrance, the Goddess Herself should remain its centre. Methods, words, and symbols should not obscure the divine reality they are meant to serve. Discipline becomes meaningful when it makes devotion to Parāmbā steadier.

The practitioner's prayer before this name may be: O Śrī Lalitāmbikā, do not let my worship remain confined to outward action alone. Make my inner awareness pure and steady enough to remember You as the true purpose within every means of worship. Turn my understanding reverently toward Your nature as the indivisible harmony of Śiva and Śakti.

Samayāntasthā names Śrī Lalitāmbikā as abiding in the innermost reality of samaya. In Bhāskararāya's exposition, samaya denotes both inward worship and an established sacred convention, while also expressing the profound correspondence of Śiva and Śakti. The Goddess is not merely worshipped through this path; She is the supreme reality it intends, abiding as the very essence of Śiva-Śakti harmony.

The preceding names repeatedly disclose Śrī Lalitāmbikā in relation to “Kula.” Immediately after Kulayoginī, the name Akulā significantly extends that sequence. Though the Goddess is present in and associated with Kula, she is not confined by a limited lineage, bodily identity, or field of practice. Bhāskararāya explains the name through both a specific yogic sense and a simple but far-reaching etymological sense.

Padaccheda: a-kulā. The privative prefix “a” is joined to “kula,” producing the feminine form Akulā. In the worship-form Akulāyai namaḥ, Akulā appears in the dative singular: “Salutations to the Goddess who is Akulā.”

The word “kula” carries several scriptural meanings, so the direct sense of Akulā becomes nuanced according to context. In a straightforward derivation, it means she who has no limiting family, lineage, or bodily genealogy. Her identity is therefore not determined by birth, ancestry, or worldly relationship. This expresses her transcendent nature and should not be reduced merely to a modern idea of freedom from social restrictions; the primary sense is ontological and scriptural.

In the Saubhāgyabhāskara, Bhāskararāya first gives Akulā a specific yogic significance. He calls the thousand-petalled lotus situated above the suṣumnā “Akula” and explains that the Goddess is called Akulā because she is of its nature or abides there. Thus the name is not merely privative; “Akula” also functions as a technical designation for a particular spiritual locus.

Bhāskararāya also accepts another meaning: she for whom there is no “kula” in the sense of body, lineage, and related determinations. This is important because it reveals the transcendent force of the name. An ordinary individual is identified through body, parents, ancestry, and social relationships; Parāmbā is not a reality produced or defined by any such cause. As the supreme ground of the causal order itself, she cannot be circumscribed by bodily or genealogical identity.

The sequence of the Sahasranāma deserves attention here. After names connected with Kulāmṛta, Kula conventions, Kulāṅganā, Kulāntasthā, Kaulinī, and Kulayoginī, the Goddess is called Akulā. This does not negate the preceding Kula names. Rather, the same Power known within Kula, its tradition, and its spiritual domain is, in her supreme nature, unrestricted by every limiting determination. Her fullness accommodates both relation and transcendence.

Akulā should therefore not be understood as contradicting Kulayoginī. Kulayoginī reveals a relational mode of the Goddess, while Akulā reminds us that such relationship never becomes her limitation. Whatever name, form, locus, or tradition serves as the approach to the Goddess, her complete nature remains greater than that medium. This brief name therefore carries a subtle theological insight of Śrīvidyā.

Bhāskararāya’s identification of the upper thousand-petalled lotus of the suṣumnā as “Akula” gives the name an inward yogic dimension. Care is necessary here. This reference should not be treated as instruction in an operative practice, a procedure of piercing cakras, or initiation-dependent internal ritual. For understanding the name, it is sufficient to recognise that this upper thousand-petalled locus signifies a supreme station beyond ordinary bodily levels, with which the Goddess is identified or in which she is said to abide.

The yogic meaning and the meaning “without bodily lineage” are therefore not unrelated. The first points toward the Goddess’s supreme locus; the second states that limited bodily identity cannot be imposed upon that supreme Reality. Together they present her as worshipfully accessible within the aspirant’s field of experience while remaining intrinsically unbounded by any finite identity.

From the standpoint of contemplation, Akulā teaches an important restraint: no form apprehended by the worshipper can exhaust the Goddess. Image, name, meditation, and scriptural tradition are authentic supports of worship, yet the supreme Consciousness toward which they point is not exhausted by any one support. Akulā therefore does not create a simplistic opposition between form and formlessness; she recalls the Goddess’s infinitude within embodied worship itself.

The other side of this insight is equally necessary. Akulā does not mean rejection of tradition or disregard for scriptural discipline. The Sahasranāma has just described the Goddess as Kulasaṅketapālinī and Kulayoginī. Transcendence therefore does not mean contempt for the supporting tradition; it means recognising that the supreme Reality to which tradition leads is not smaller than the tradition itself. In this balance, reverence and insight support one another.

For the aspirant, remembrance of “Akulāyai namaḥ” can become an occasion to humble limited identities before the Goddess. Body, family, position, achievement, and social identity have their valid place in ordinary life, but they do not define the whole of spiritual truth. In worship, the aspirant may pray to fulfil the responsibilities attached to these identities without becoming inwardly bound to them through ego.

Contemplation on this name may bear fruit less through expectation of extraordinary experience and more through remembrance of the Goddess’s unbounded majesty. She whose nature transcends bodily and genealogical limitation, and whom Bhāskararāya associates with the upper “Akula,” invites the aspirant simply and safely to offer limited self-identification at the feet of Parāmbā.

Akulā is Śrī Lalitāmbikā whose supreme nature is not defined by body, lineage, or any limited “kula.” Bhāskararāya also describes her as identical with, or abiding in, the upper thousand-petalled “Akula” associated with the suṣumnā. The name therefore does not deny her relationship with Kula; it proclaims the infinitude in which all authentic relations of worship find support while none can confine her.

The preceding name, Kaulinī, expressed Śrī Lalitāmbikā's relation to the Kaula principle. The immediately following name, Kulayoginī, makes that relation more precise. Its primary subject is not an ordinary yogic practice, but the Goddess's inseparable and eternal relation with Kula.

Kulayoginī = Kula + Yoginī. Its archana form is Kulayoginyai namaḥ.

In this context, yoga primarily means relation, conjunction, or connection. Therefore yoginī should not be reduced here to the ordinary sense of a woman practising postures, breath-control, or meditation. She whose relation with Kula is perpetual is Kulayoginī: Śrī Lalitāmbikā who is eternally connected with Kula.

In the Saubhāgyabhāskara, Bhāskararāya Makhin interprets Kula here as Paraśiva and explains yoga as an eternal relation. Thus Śrī Lalitāmbikā is the Śakti whose relation with Paraśiva is not something produced at one time and destroyed at another. It is eternal and inseparable from Her very nature.

This interpretation subtly distinguishes Kulayoginī from the preceding Kaulinī. Kaulinī brings forward the Goddess's relation to Kaula or the Kula-associated principle, whereas in Kulayoginī Bhāskararāya specifically emphasizes the eternity of that relation. The name therefore points beyond affiliation with a tradition to the timeless relation of Śiva and Śakti.

Within this cluster of names, the term Kula is not confined to one ordinary dictionary sense. Bhāskararāya accepts different scriptural senses according to context. In his explanation of Kulayoginī, the decisive point is that Kula is related to Paraśiva and the Goddess is said to possess an eternal union with that Paraśiva. Śakti is therefore not treated as an entity first separate from Śiva and subsequently joined to Him.

Eternal relation means that the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti is not an event belonging to a particular moment in time. Śakti is the inherent power of manifestation of Śiva, while Śiva is not regarded as a separate, powerless entity devoid of Śakti. The name Kulayoginī presents this indivisible relation as an epithet of the Goddess. Understanding this principle is sufficient here; it should not be used to infer restricted Kaula rites, mantra arrangements, or initiation-dependent practices.

The word yoginī carries several meanings in Indian scriptural traditions. It may denote a particular class of goddesses, a woman associated with a discipline, or a being endowed with yoga or connection. In the present name, Bhāskararāya's explanation through eternal relation makes the third sense primary. The text therefore does not by itself justify identifying this name with some other Yoginī tradition or group.

From the contemplative standpoint, Kulayoginī offers a significant doctrinal indication: the Supreme cannot be adequately understood by dividing Śiva and Śakti into two mutually opposed principles. Consciousness and its power, the ground and its manifestation, stillness and pulsation are not unrelated. Contemplation of the Goddess as Kulayoginī may turn the devotee reverently toward this inseparability.

This contemplative indication should remain distinct from Bhāskararāya's direct explanation. His explicit interpretive point is the Goddess's eternal relation with Paraśiva; the devotional-philosophical implication is to remember that relation as the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti. Maintaining this distinction keeps the interpretation grounded and avoids unnecessary speculation.

For the devotee, remembrance of Kulayoginyai namaḥ may become a prayer that Parāmbā lead the intellect beyond fixation on division and external distinctions toward the fundamental truth in which the relation of Śiva and Śakti is eternal. The devotional emphasis here is not the acquisition of a secret method, but the deepening of reverence and inwardness before the Goddess's unbroken nature.

Kulayoginī is Śrī Lalitāmbikā whose relation with Paraśiva as Kula is eternal. Bhāskararāya's explanation clarifies the centre of the name: yoga here primarily signifies timeless relation rather than a yogic operation. This inseparable relation of the Goddess and Paraśiva becomes, in Śrīvidyā contemplation, a basis for remembering the unity of Śiva and Śakti.
